Gregg Martin on Posing

Yesterday we traveled to Greenville, SC where Gregg had the opportunity to teach other photographers about posing. There was an awesome turnout with a room filled with amazing photographers at Fisheye Studios. Thanks to David Junker, we have a few photos to help share the experience!

Below, Gregg is explaining and showing how to do Flow Posing. “Make sure to show the rings!”

Coming soon to surrounding areas will be an 8-10 hour class called “Down and Dirty,” which will teach on stepping out of the box with weddings, bridal portraits, trash the dress, private time and much much more! Keep an eye out for more details and dates! You won’t want to miss it!

This photo of Elizabeth Adams is called “Tequila Sunrise” and a little preview of what you can learn at this awesome class!

Allison + Jeff | May 21, 2011

Allison and Jeff met while working at the restaurant Yesterday’s in Columbia years ago. They decided to tie the knot this May. Despite it being a bit warm, everyone had a great time, especially when the sun went down! They each got ready at the Millstone before they got to see each for the first time during Private Time.

Rachel had to get a picture of Allison’s shoes that said I Do. So cool!

The flower girl playing dress up while watching the Bridesmaids actually get ready for the big day!

Allison’s mom helping her down the stairs. We love to catch those special moments!

Jeff and Allison chose to see each other before the actual ceremony during what we call Private Time. It allows them to see each other for the first time without an audience. Plus it allows for more time to take some really cool photos!

We got the whole gang on the balcony in front of Adams Pond. This was a first for us and we thought it came out pretty cool!

Allison waiting in excitement to walk down the aisle.

Jeff and Allison had an amazing crowd come out and support the union of the couple. It was a beautiful ceremony.

This was one of the best parts of the reception! When the DJ played The Dog Days are Over and all of the bridesmaids got in a circle around the bride, belting out the lyrics.

Mike from Party Time DJ’s got on the dance floor to show everyone how to wobble!

It was great to see Jeff out there on the dance floor with his lovely new bride. They definitely had a blast!

Catherine + Carl | April 16, 2011

Catherine and Carl tied the knot on April 16 at Rutledge Chapel on the USC Horseshoe. Catherine already looked stunning at Shear Xpectations while she was getting ready for the big day!

The guys got pizza and a few drinks at Village Idiot in 5 points before they started getting ready.

At Rutledge the bridal party has to take a short stroll around the building through the front door. We had to catch Catherine and the girls in action!

A special moment shared between mother and daughter :)

These photos were also taken right outside of Rutledge Chapel.

Love this photo!

Such a precious photo, Catherine’s family had a brick on the Horseshoe that they had to get a pic with!

We interrupt this dance……..with the HUSTLE!!!! haha One of the funniest/best moments during a father daughter dance. The whole family broke out into dance with the Hustle!

Catherine and Carl were surprised at the end of the night with a horse and carriage to be taken away in, too bad Lindsay did not want them to go!

Courtney + Gregory | January 7, 2011

Courtney and Gregory were married early this year. Courtney looked stunning in a gown full of feathers while the guys looked great in teal!

This was taken at the Lace house in Columbia, such a great place to photograph!

We got some great shots around the outside of the Lace House as well. haha The guys really got into this one.

Did we mention it was freezing out?! The girls were gathered around to keep warm, at least try to!

Courtney and Gregory had a small worship service honoring their marriage followed by a beautiful reception held at the Lace House.

The whole gang after the ceremony!

The girls at the reception!

The newlyweds before the cutting cake!

The downstairs was set up for a beautiful sit down dinner.

Courtney threw her bouquet straight into the overhead light fixture! We had to do take two on the stairs to avoid anymore mishaps! haha

Courtney and Gregory sharing their “last first kiss” at the end of the night :)

Michelle + Adam | December 18, 2010

Michelle and Adam had a wedding filled with Christmas cheer this December. Michelle glowed with red roses and green garland surrounding her as she walked down the aisle at Wintergreen Woods in Lexington!

A text sent from Allison’s soon-to-be hubby a few hours before the wedding!

Michelle’s mother held her dress as she walked down the hall to see Adam for the first time.

Michelle and Adam are huge USC fans! This was taken just outside of the Inn at USC where the whole wedding party got ready for the day.

This is one of our favorite ring photos!! Gotta love the Gamecocks!!

The first dance between father and daughter.

Adam and Michelle having fun after cutting the cake!!

Adam’s Groomsmen singing his heart out..It was a performance for the books!

Lauren + Michael | October 16, 2010

Chris + Claire | July 10, 2010

Chris and Claire got married at Adams Pond in Columbia, South Carolina. It was a beautiful ceremony held in front of The Millstone followed by a reception inside and out back. They were a fun couple with plenty of friends and family to join in the festivities!

Adams Pond has his and her dressing rooms where Claire and Chris got ready for their big day.

Claire’s dress was classically beautiful, paired with her bouquet, it was picture perfect!

The couple choose to do Private Time before the actual ceremony. They were able to see each other for the first time completely alone and have a special moment to themselves. It’s always a privilege to be able to witness and capture the emotions shared between the soon to be newlyweds.

All of the bridesmaids and flower girls gathered around Claire for a cute shot of the girls group!

This was taken outside of the Ladies room at Adams Pond. Claire also took her bridal portraits around the Millstone.

Claire and Chris sharing a big kiss for the camera!! Everyone always gets into this fun photoshoot before the ceremony!

Ohh no!! A Tiger fan among the crowd of Gamecocks! haha

Right before walking down the aisle! Deep breaths!

Chris and Claire’s first dance under the awesome white tent behind the historical house.

Inside there was a very nice display set up to honor Claire’s father.

The dancing and fun really got started at the reception. Everyone danced until they couldn’t anymore!!

We got a few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen to help out with the photo. LOVE is what it’s all about!

The newlyweds leaving through a crowd of sparklers and an end to a great night!!
